The gun control issue, I understand how that comes into play. But I just don’t understand how they feel they can use the shooting to say bad things about specific people. And by “lards” I am referring to specific peoples, but to prove that I am better than they are, I will not say a damn thing.
I’m going through various news sources and reading whatever there is about the Virginia Tech shooting that occurred yesterday. This has been mentioned and there is a lot of debate concerning, but there is something off about how it was handled. According to all the articles, there was a two-hour lapse between killings. Something could have been done in that time.
Based on questions classmates have asked today, we should take the time to analyze every possible action and reaction that could have been taken. Getting up and just tackling him would not go over well - in the process of rising, one would just get shot down. “I would just go over and BAM! Kick him in the balls!” Not a good idea. Such things may impede his progress, but do little to stop it. Like the teacher that blocked the door to prevent him from entering. Yes, it slowed the gunman (I can’t bring myself to use his name…Cho Sueng-Hui) down, but the professor died. He was old. He’s allowed to die, be a hero. You don’t jump up in the middle of a shooting rampage and expect to live…if you don’t mind sacrificing your life for that, then by all means, go. But if you think your attempts are solely for the purpose of stopping him, not likely. Unless, of course, you happen to be packing heat at the time.
And don’t blame gun laws. There is nothing, no one to blame except Cho Sueng-Hui. He bought the gun more than a month earlier, his backpack was full of ammunition and knives. You cannot blame the actions of individual people on objects, or even other people.
I could say more, but I have more important things to do.
And, some thoughts are best left unsaid.
That aside, I hope the best for the victims, the families of the victims, Cho Sueng-Hui’s parents and the bastard himself. I don’t need to justify my reasons for hoping the best for the killer.
